Every journey needs a beginning

I thought it seemed appropriate to start off with a few images of work I have done in the past that I particularly enjoy. If you know me at all, chances are you have seen these a million times, but they serve as a good starting point.

This is the first "official" self portrait I ever attempted approximately three years ago.
I like to look at it sometimes and see how my portrait skills have evolved since then.

The two images above are sculptures created from found objects. The sculpture on the left is
composed of multicolored cocktail swords and the sculpture on the right is composed of flossing picks.

This is an acrylic work I did in 2008 based on astronomical imagery.

This is another acrylic work I did earlier this year.
It is also loosely based on astronomical imagery.

Man in Turmoil (2008)
This is one of those so called "happy accidents" that developed
from a rather disastrous experience I had working with ink.

Lastly, the above image is a work in progress.

  1. I love the sculptures and the rollie-pollie! Amazing! And the black and white ink piece is packed with energy! Make sure you channel that in your upcoming pieces!! ;-D
